No doubt one of the most adored young stars in showbiz, Vanessa Hudgens was able to muster enough momentum to eclipse the competition en route to her Hot 45 List triumph thanks to a night at the lanes with rumored new beau Josh Hutcherson. The “Sucker Punch” cutie and her hunky pal looked to be thoroughly enjoying themselves at Pinz, while Hudgens recently said of her new romance to UK’s Fabulous magazine, “I’m really happy embracing this moment. Right now I feel so happy and I have so much going on, I don’t necessarily need a guy. Whether I’m single or not, this is an amazing time in my life. I’m a young woman and I’m exploring who I am.”
Offering up quite the fight - though falling a bit short to wind up in the runner-up position - was one of America’s sweethearts, Kate Hudson. The “Fool’s Gold” actress stepped out for a media blitz tied to her upcoming movie “Something Borrowed,” during which she revealed during a “Today” show visit that she’s now engaged to Muse rocker beau Matthew Bellamy. Flashing her fancy diamond ring for all to see, the expecting actress also took over the airwaves with an evening visit to the “Late Show with David Letterman.”
Rounding out the Hot 45 List top three was the ever-so-hot music superstar Beyonce – as the usually private singer was all about attention over the past seven days. The 29-year-old kicked off the week by releasing her new single “Run The World (Girls)” before embarking on a multi-day stay in Paris as she spent the Easter holiday in a $20,000/night penthouse suite at Le Meurice Hotel with rap star husband Jay-Z.
As for the big movers of the week, the focal point of the media world, Kate Middleton, soared to the sixth ranking on the Gossip Center Hot 45 List after being consistently low-placing thanks to her impressive ability to steer clear of the spotlight. Set to wed Prince William at Westminster Abbey on Friday (April 29), the princess-to-be made headlines like no other as she spent the week prepping for her big walk down the aisle.
Joining Miss Middleton as a high riser was U.S. President Barack Obama, as the Commander-In-Chief climbed all the way to 14th on the Hot 45 List during a week in which he welcomed plenty of famous faces to the White House for the annual Easter Egg Roll while also hitting headlines upon the release of his birth certificate after his place of origin was brought into question by Donald Trump.
And while Kate and Barack both were on the up and up, former Disney darling Demi Lovato found herself on the downward slide. The recovering “Camp Rock” star slipped from the top five all the way to 117th thanks to a recent stretch free of press efforts following a much-talked-about appearance on “Good Morning America” the previous week.
