Star of "The Bachelor," Juan Pablo Galavis appeared Monday morning on Good Morning America, where he continued to apologize for his controversial anti-gay off-camera comments, it was the fallout of his “mistake” with Clare that fans were waiting for on Monday night’s episode of the ABC reality show.

It was not the only highlight of the two-hour episode, which was set in New Zealand, and it went like this:

Galavis and Clare went on a second solo date, which did not go unnoticed by the other women in the house.

“Clare just has something going on that is so attractive to me. I get so hot talking about Clare!”

The former Venezuelan soccer player said he chose Clare for the date because he wanted to make sure she knew he still had feelings for her despite calling their midnight rendezvous a mistake. He reiterated that he regretted their actions, which included playing and making out in the ocean at 4 a.m., because of his daughter, Camila.

Galavis said he doesn’t kiss or even hold hands with women in front of his daughter – never mind that he is appearing on a TV show – and what the two did that night “didn’t feel right.”

While Clare seemed slightly put-off by his explanation, she eventually accepted when it was made clear that it had nothing to do with her personally.

“Clare just has something going on that is so attractive to me,” Galavis told the camera. “I get so hot talking about Clare!”

Another episode highlight came from Galavis breaking the heart of another contestant on her birthday, making him the worst gift-giver ever.

During a visit to Hobbiton, where scenes from “The Lord of the Rings” were filmed, birthday girl and single mom Cassandra scored some along time with the bachelor, telling the camera if she was given a rose, “it would be the best birthday ever.”

Her hopes were crushed by Galavis, who sent her home instead. “You’re one of my special ones,” he said, showering her with compliments before dropping the bomb. “I wish we were in the same chapter.”

He went on to say that he was sending her home before the rose ceremony so that she didn’t have to wait two more days to see her son.

Not surprisingly, Cassandra was distraught and shocked for the early boot – as were the rest of the ladies.

The single mother was not the only one who did not receive a rose from Galavis. He also sent Kat home. This left six women still vying for his heart, including a confused Sharleen, who reluctantly accepted a rose.

“I’m happy to be here. I’m happy to be going on. I guess I just feel that it’s wrong somehow,” she confessed to the camera. “Instead of feeling more certain, I’m feeling more doubtful each week. And to be honest, I can see other girls more suiting him better.”
