'Star Wars' actor still in jail after high-speed chase

Newly released details of the arrest of a former child actor who starred in one of the "Star Wars" movie sequels describes an all-out flight from South Carolina law officers that hit speeds of about 120 miles an hour.

Officials in Colleton County, South Carolina, said 26-year-old Jake Broadbent of Indianapolis remained in jail Tuesday on charges including reckless driving and resisting arrest. A jail official said he had no information whether Broadbent had a defense attorney.

An arrest report describes Broadbent driving his Nissan Maxima through South Carolina towns and backroads at up to 120 miles an hour last Wednesday.

Broadbent performed under the name Jake Lloyd when he played a young Anakin Skywalker in the 1999 movie "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace."
