Patrons looking for some Mexican food at a Dallas restaurant got the surprise of a lifetime over the weekend thanks to their waiter.

The newly opened eatery Resident Taqueria had a surprise server this weekend when Annie Clark, most well-known as indie rocker St. Vincent, showed up to help out her sister/owner.

She was spotted working at the taqueria by fans, who happily snapped pictures of the artist trading her guitar for a smock.

“Dallas people, go to @residenttaqueria this weekend and let waitress extraordinaire @st_vincent serve you delicious tacos y margaritas! Seriously, the food is amazing,” one fan wrote in an Instagram of the singer.

Tom Steele, editor at Dallas Morning News, wrote on Twitter: “she was WORKING. clearing tables. restocking Topo Chico. she refilled the napkin dispenser on our table. this is a strange world.”

The singer, who is dating supermodel Cara Delevigne, teased her stop at the restaurant with a photo of the name on Friday. She captioned it: “Hello, Dallas!!”

Her sister, Amy Savoie, who owns the restaurant, confirmed to People that the Grammy-winning singer pitched in on the wait staff.

“She’s a family member of the owner,” Savoie jokingly told the magazine.
