Could The Amanda Bynes Show be coming to an end soon?

A source close to the former child star told FOX411's Pop Tarts column that Bynes returned to her Los Angeles roots last week to seek out treatment options.

“Amanda isn’t crazy, she just has lots of anger issues and knows she needs help dealing with that,” explained the insider, adding that the 27-year-old likes the idea of a team of helpers including medical professionals, a life coach, etc. “She’s determined to pull it all together.”

Bynes flew back to New York on Sunday to make a scheduled court hearing regarding her May arrest for allegedly tossing a bong from the window of her 36th floor Manhattan apartment window. Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Diana Boyar ordered the ex-Nickelodeon star to appear in court again on September 26. We’re told she intends to return to the West Coast this week to continue coordinating a treatment plan.

But while our source insists her sanity is not in question, Bynes’ bizarre behavior hasn’t slowed. Her Tuesday court outfit included false eyelashes, an aquamarine blue wig, sweats, and a Rolex watch set to Friday afternoon.

More On This...

On Monday, Bynes also continued to her “ugly” tirade on Twitter, this time out-of-the-blue declaring that “Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are ugly!”

Bynes also continued her fixation with physical appearance, posting pictures of her scale weight loss and lamenting that she “loves plastic surgery” but “hates taking pictures with a broken nose.” According to Bynes, “my surgeon broke my nose during surgery but hasn’t finished my nose! It’s still broken and I can’t breathe!”

“It’s all for attention. The wigs, the ‘ugly’ talk,” said our source. “She doesn’t take that seriously, but finds it amusing that everyone will write and talk about it so she keeps doing it.”

One of Bynes’outlandish tweets that we apparently should be taking seriously, however, is her declaration in May that she is “looking forward to a long and wonderful career as a singer/rapper.”

Rapper Waka Flocka Flame recently told E! News she could sign with his hip-hop label Brick Squad Monopoly records – but she needs to complete all her plastic surgery procedures first. He said her first single will likely be called “Shots” and her rap name will be A.B.

Last month she was also offered a rap deal with small East Coast label Chinga Chang Records.

“Amanda is very serious about the rap career,” said our source. “And I think she will surprise people. She’s actually very good.”

Legal reps for Bynes did not respond to a request for comment.
