Singing superstars Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Katy Perry and a dog dressed like a spider were among the top video subjects searched for in 2014.

Perry’s “Dark Horse” reigned supreme on YouTube’s top 10 most popular music videos followed by Iglesias’ pop hit “Bailando” featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente De Zona.

Shakira took the third and fourth spots for her duet with Rihanna “Can’t Remember to Forget You” and her World Cup anthem “La La La” featuring Carlinhos Brown.

YouTube said Tuesday the top trending videos for 2014 were based on views, shares, comments, likes and more.

A prank featuring a dog dressed up as a spider chasing unsuspecting pedestrians led YouTube’s top 10 trending videos.

The second trending video “Winner Stays” by Nike Football featured soccer stars like Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo. Other top trending subjects were a singing nun on the Italian edition of “The Voice”, a group of strangers kissing for the first time and the comic book characters Superman and Goku engaging in a fictional rap battle.

Jason Derulo, Sia and Taylor Swift were among other artists with music videos on YouTube’s list.
