Selena Gomez is is counter suing a fragrance company that sued her for allegedly backing out of a multi-million dollar endorsement deal.

Gomez claims the perfume establishment called ‘Adrenalina’ owed her cash, $5.2 million to be exact, because their business was not doing well and fell apart.

A source told entertainment publication TMZ that Gomez backed out of the deal because she and her team realized the company was going broke.

In the court documents, Gomez’s attorney Michael Weinsten, said that Adrenalina promised to pay the singer  5 percent royalty on sales of all Selena-brand scents, and guaranteed her minimum earnings of $5.2 million.

Weinsten also said that Gomez backed out because she was looking out for her reputation once she realized the perfume company could not afford her.

"Any claim that Selena did not meet her promotional obligations is ridiculous, manufactured after Adrenalina was terminated,” he told TMZ.

“Selena will vigorously defend this lawsuit, and will soon bring her own lawsuit against Adrenalina for millions in damages."
