Rumors Michael Bublé's son has leukemia are false, sister-in-law says

Michael Bublé’s son is not suffering from leukemia as many people have speculated, the singer’s sister-in-law told a reporter over the weekend.

Daniela Lopilato – sister of Bublé's wife, the Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato, 29 – told a Buenos Aires TV station that any speculation that her 3-year-old nephew, Noah, was suffering from the blood-tissue cancer is incorrect.

“To tell you the truth, I’m devastated. This is very recent,” Lopilato told journalist Tomas Dente a day after Bublé, 41, revealed his son had been diagnosed with cancer, according to the U.K. Express. “The only thing I ask is that you don’t speculate, because not everyone has children and can understand what this means.”

She added that the “Nobody but Me” singer and his wife are “broken in half” over the diagnosis, and that the couple would release more information at their own pace.

“Michael and my sister will publish more statements, and I can’t say anymore but it’s not leukemia or the central nervous system as people are saying,” Lopilato said. “That’s all I can say.”

More On This...

Late last week, Bublé and his wife revealed the devastating news in an emotional statement they posted on Facebook.

“We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children,” the statement read. “Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”

The singer's sister, Brandee Bublé, posted an inspirational message offering her support for her distraught family.

It consisted of a Biblical verse written on a chalkboard, reading, “And now these three remain, faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

She captioned it “And we've got a lot."

The singer and his wife both have suspended his career during the hard time.
