Ronda Rousey will make her debut as host of "Saturday Night Live" on January 23 with Selena Gomez, who’s also making her "SNL" debut as musical guest.

This is sure to be Rousey’s first major television appearance since her crushing November 14 defeat to Holly Holm in the UFC women’s bantamweight title fight. The shock knockout in the second round ended her unbeaten run that propelled her to become one of MMA’s (and all of sports’) most popular figures. She had landed multiple endorsement deals and roles in films including "Entourage," "Furious 7" and "The Expendables 3." A rematch with Holm is in the works.

As previously announced, Adam Driver, fresh off his co-starring role in box office phenom "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," will host "SNL's" first episode of 2016 on January 16. Grammy-nominated Chris Stapleton will join him as musical guest in his "SNL" debut. Stapleton’s new album "Traveller" peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
