Paris Jackson has 'been cutting for a while,' source says

Paris and Prince Michael II accept a Grammy award on behalf of their late father.

Paris Jackson’s recent hospitalization came as a shock to many, but a source told FOX411 the teen has been headed down a dark, dangerous path for a while.

TMZ reported that Paris posted images on her Tumblr account that show teens with guns in their mouths. Other photos focus on cutting, which is what sent the 15-year-old to the hospital earlier this month after she attempted suicide. A Jackson family insider could not confirm that the disturbing website belongs to Paris.

Still, the source said that the teen has "been cutting for a while."

“Look at her life, it’s not normal and this is hardly a surprise. While this is the most serious [suicide] attempt, it is not the first time. There have been many signs of problems before this,” the insider said. “The Jackson kids never really got the professional help they needed after Michael died, and they need it.”

The King of Pop had three children Prince, Paris and Blanket.

Paris, like the other children, was shielded from the spotlight during her famous father's lifetime. As kids, the Jackson siblings often wore masks to hide their faces from the paparazzi's cameras.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50.
