Perennial party girl Paris Hilton denies she was photographed making a Nazi salute as she spent time partying on a luxury yacht in St. Tropez.
Photographers snapped Hilton wearing a military-style hat while appearing to raise her arm up in the air in a “Heil Hitler” style salute.
But a rep for Hilton, 29, quickly shot down any rumors that she was making a statement, saying instead she was just “dancing and having fun with her arm up in the air.”
In a statement to the U.K. Daily Mail, Hilton’s rep said “'The hat was not a communist hat, it's a military style hat from a club. Half of her family is Jewish and many of her friends are as well.”
After a few months of laying low, Hilton has been in the headlines recently for outrageous behavior, including being questioned for drug possession and being picked up off of a nightclub floor by security, the Mail reports.
