Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland is reportedly heading back to Britain — for good.

The Daily Mail reported Monday the 61-year-old, who was the only member of the 37-year-old’s family to attend the royal wedding in May, is “preparing to move to Britain” to be closer to her daughter.

A family friend claimed Ragland will possibly make the move from Los Angeles as soon as next month in time for her 62nd birthday.

“She is getting ready to move to London,” the source claimed. “I think she will be going as soon as possible. I know that she was eager to live closer to her daughter. She also fell in love with England and told me when she got back that it’s somewhere she believes she too could happily live.”

“Doria and Meghan have always been inseparable,” a Los Angeles-based neighbor told the UK-based publication. “Doria is beside herself with excitement at the thought of moving to London.”

UK’s Express added Ragland was “deeply impressed by the royal family, including the Queen” during and after Markle’s wedding to Britain’s Prince Harry, who is sixth in line to the throne.

Before Markle’s televised marriage, Ragland spent time meeting Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Prince William and Duchess Kate. She also met Queen Elizabeth II, Harry’s grandmother, while having tea at Windsor Castle with her daughter and future son-in-law.

While Ragland’s ex-husband Thomas Markle and his older daughter Samantha Grant from a previous marriage have granted several interviews, she has never publicly spoken out about her daughter’s royal journey.

Back in May, Us Weekly reported Ragland quit her job at a mental health clinic in Los Angeles.

“Doria made the very difficult decision to leave her job at the clinic because there had been a lot of calls from the media asking to speak with her because her daughter was marrying Prince Harry,” a source told the magazine. “It just became overwhelming for Doria and she considered taking a leave of absence, but recognized that the interest was only going to continue after the wedding.”

The insider added Ragland, a social worker, had considered “starting her own private practice” and was reportedly continuing her work as a yoga instructor.

In August 2017 Markle listed Ragland was one of the most important women who changed her life.

“My mom’s a yoga instructor, but she does social work, as well, and she works specifically with the geriatric community,” the former “Suits” star told Glamour Magazine. “For me to watch this level of life-long sensitivity to nurturing and caregiving, but at the same time, my mom has always been a free spirit.

"She’s got dreadlocks and a nose ring. She just ran the LA Marathon. We can just have so much fun together, and yet, I’ll still find so much solace in her support. That duality coexists the way it would in a best friend.”
