Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding guest list

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry officially wed on May 19 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

There was a tight guest list for the ceremony -- just 600 people were invited to the service, Kensington Palace announced in March.

Read on for a look at who attended the wedding.

The wedding party

Prince William, Harry’s older brother and second in line to the British throne, was Harry’s best man.

Markle, however, did not have a maid of honor.

“She has a very close-knit circle of friends and she didn’t want to choose one over another,” Kensington Palace told E!. “All have been actively involved in helping her prepare for the day and will be there in the days beforehand. She’s very happy to have their support.”

Kensington Palace revealed May 16 the bridesmaids are Princess Charlotte, 3, the daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and Harry's godchildren, Florence van Cutsem, 3, and Zalie Warren, 2.

Meghan’s goddaughters Remi Litt, 6, and Rylan Litt, 7, joined her close friend's daughter, Ivy Mulroney, 4, as part of the bridal party.

The page boys were William and Kate's son Prince George, 4, and the children of Meghan’s best friend and unofficial wedding planner Jessica Mulroney -- twins Brian and John Mulroney, who are 7. Prince Harry's godson Jasper Dyer, 6, also served as page boy.

The groom’s side

Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and other royals -- like his father Prince Charles, who is first in the line of succession for the crown -- were all present at the wedding.

Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, was also at the wedding. The couple’s youngest child, newborn Prince Louis, skipped the ceremony.

Ahead of the wedding, Knauf said Harry is “keen to involve his mother’s family in the wedding” and that all three of Diana’s siblings would be present.

Diana’s sisters include Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes, as well as her brother, Earl Charles Spencer.

The bride’s side

Harry’s press secretary revealed May 4 that “Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are very much looking forward to welcoming Ms. Markle's parents to Windsor for the wedding.”

Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, traveled with her daughter by car to Windsor Castle on May 19.

Early on May 15, Markle’s father, Thomas Markle, said that he wanted to be a part of the historic royal wedding by walking his daughter down the aisle. However, he did not attend -- health restrictions and a recent heart surgery prevented him from going to the big ceremony.

Markle released a statement on May 17, saying that her father wouldn't attend. She said that he would stay home to "focus on his health."

As for the bride’s famous pals?

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra attended her friend’s wedding.

“I’ve known Meghan for a few years now and I’m super happy for her, and I’m just really happy to be a part of her big day, ya know?” Chopra said on “The Jenny McCarthy Show” this month.

Additionally, tennis star Serena Williams was at Markle's big day.

What else should I know?

Oprah Winfrey, Idris Elba, Elton John, George and Amal Clooney and David and Victoria Beckham were all spotted on the grounds of Windsor Castle the day of the wedding.

Prince Harry and Markle invited 2,640 people into the grounds of Windsor Castle, which was a prime location to watch the pair's arrival and carriage procession.

The majority of those invited were members of the public, nominated by local Lord Lieutenant offices. The pair also invited members of charities and other organizations, local schoolchildren, residents of Windsor and members of the royal household.

Fox News’ Morgan M. Evans, Madeline Farber, Katherine Lam, Tyler McCarthy, Lukas Mikelionis, Sasha Savitsky and The Associated Press contributed to this report.
