Another member of the extended Tanner family has signed on for "Fuller House."
"I'm very excited," Loughlin said. "It's going to be really great to be back with the whole cast. It'll be a lot of fun."
"We would've loved it [if they had returned]," Loughlin said on "GMA." "But I understand."
"Fuller House" will follow DJ Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure), a recent widow who invites her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber) to move in with her and help her raise her two sons.
Loughlin and John Stamos, who played husband and wife Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky on the original series, will appear in the first episode "and maybe ... pop up here and there" throughout subsequent installments, Loughlin said Thursday.
"Fuller House" will get underway with a one-hour reunion special, followed by 13 original episodes.
