Celeb tattoo artist Kat Von D is keeping “onwards and upwards” after breaking the news she has split from fiancé Deadmau5.

Like all other details of their relationship, Von D broke the news on her Twitter account.

“Man, I'm a fool,” the former “LA Ink” star wrote Wednesday evening.

“Cheating on your loved one is the most hurtful thing one could do. I hate to have to admit, that this relationship is indeed over.”

But Deadmau5 later tried to clarify what really happened.

"At the end of June, it was clear that the relationship was not working and we mutually ended the engagement."

Adding in a post on his Facebook page that, "I was not, at any point, unfaithful to Kat during our time together."

The news comes just a few months after the couple said they were planning an underwater-themed wedding that was set to take place August 10th in Los Angeles.

Back in December, Deadmau5 popped the question to Von D, who was also engaged to Sandra Bullock’s ex Jesse James.

"I can't wait for Christmas so ... Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" Deadmau5, whose real name is Joel Thomas Zimmerman, posted on his Twitter account.

The tweet also included a photo of the engagement ring, which has two small skulls on the side.

"Changing the diamond to black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg … they'll finish the actual ring soon I hope," he added.

The Mexico-born Argentine responded to Deadmau5 on her Twitter account with many exclamation marks and seemed overjoyed.

"Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiancé!" she wrote.

Just a month prior to their engagement, the couple had called it quits for the first time over Deadmau5’s wandering eye before reconciling.

As Deadmau5 explained it, "Kat and I split in November and I moved back home to Toronto. During this time, while we were broken up, I did have relations with another woman. Following that, Kat and I reconciled and I acknowledged being intimate with another person while we were estranged."
