PASADENA, Calif. – “Dancing With the Stars” judge Julianne Hough told FOX411 that she has “literally done nothing” to prepare for her wedding.
Her fiancé, hockey player Brooks Laich, popped the question in August.
“We are enjoying each step of our relationship,” she said with a smile at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.
Hough is getting some wedding planning experience, however, playing a bridezilla alongside Zac Efron and Robert DeNiro in “Dirty Grandpa.”
“It’s really fun because it’s so random,” she shared. “I play Zac Efron’s fiance who is very uptight and very control freak; quite aggressive at times. She is a bridezilla for sure. There are moments when I was doing scenes, and I would call him up (Brooks Laich) just like, FYI, this is not me, I promise.”
Hough, 27, says she's a lot more laid back now than she was earlier in her career.
“I would say young Julianne should give old Julianne the advice which is stay true to you, and have fun,” she explained. “Because at the end of the day, when I was five years old, I only did things because they were fun and they were my passions. But when you get older, you start losing the fun, and what’s next for my career, and this and that, and then lose the fun of it. It’s almost like my five-year-old self giving my older self advice, like stay true to you and have fun.”
“Dirty Grandpa” hits theaters January 22nd.
