“Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” won’t be filming in one New Jersey location, according to local media.
A request from 495 Productions to film the reality series at a Brick Township home has been rejected, the Asbury Park Press reported on Tuesday. The township’s mayor, Brian John Ducey, said filming would have greatly disrupted the neighborhood.
“We thought about the impact it would have on the neighborhood,” Ducey told the newspaper. “It would have brought in a lot of traffic with a lot of people going by.”

Ducey also spoke about the Seawood Harbor area, where filming would have taken place.
“It’s just a neighborhood and it’s not near any commercial zones and the roads are thin,” Ducey said. “It was a quiet neighborhood to have onlookers and trucks coming through.”

It’s not the only New Jersey locale to turn down filming: Brick Patch reports that Wildwood earlier rejected a request.
As for Seaside Heights? The Asbury Park Press says the town issued a permit to allow for two days of filming for the reality show.
Brick Patch reports that filming for a "farewell" episode for the town, the site of much of the action in the original "Jersey Shore," took place last month.
