Jennifer Lopez is returning to Fox’s musical talent contest “American Idol.”

The network announced Monday that the “I Luv Ya Papi” singer along with country singer Keith Urban and soulful singer Harry Connick Jr. would be returning to judge singers again in 2015. Longtime host Ryan Seacret will also remain as host.

“I am thrilled our consummate host, Mr. Ryan Seacrest, is returning for Season 14, together with Jennifer, Harry and Keith,” said show creator and executive producer Simon Fuller in a statement. “Their interaction, warmth and experience made them an absolute joy to watch. I can’t wait to see their evolution together continue next season.”

David Hill, senior executive vice president of 21st Century Fox, said: “Jennifer, Keith, Harry and Ryan are the very best at what they do, and I’m thrilled that they are returning to ‘American Idol’ for another season. Each brings unique qualities and expertise to the team, but they all share the same passion for helping undiscovered singers achieve the American dream.”

This year’s show included its lowest-rated finale ever, part of a continuing a ratings slide for the once-dominant TV series.

The network is taking the show’s downfall into account in scheduling and will air fewer hours next season, and in many of those weeks there will be just one episode instead of two.

“American Idol” auditions are coming up in Uniondale, New York; Nashville, Tennessee; New Orleans and San Francisco.
