Don’t believe everything you read. Or at least that’s what those close to Jennifer Lopez are saying.
After a new report came out in Star magazine claiming the superstar was “demanding her boyfriend Casper Smart to sign a contract to protect her image and growing empire,” the couple shot down the rumors.
A source close to both JLO and Smart told the website Gossip Cop that the reports that the “Dance Again” singer is seeking that her man sign a “pre-wedding confidentiality agreement” are inaccurate.
According to Star’s article, Lopez wants her younger beau to sign a document “that states he will never take money from her.”
Star also says a source told them the legal doc will forbid Smart from talking to the press about his lady love.
The source in the Star report goes on to say that the issue has caused a riff in the couple’s relationship.
“He refuses to sign [the agreement], and now they fight constantly,” the Star insider, said.
“He says he will sign it when they get married, but not before. She’s always led him to believe she trusts him — but if he doesn’t sign it, it’s over.”
Rumors are constantly swirling that the duo may be headed down the aisle sometime soon. However, reports of an engagement or upcoming wedding have never been confirmed by JLO or Smart.
