"Harry Potter" actor Jim Tavaré is in intensive care after a head-on car crash that left him with several severe injuries.

The 54-year-old British actor, who played Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron in the “Harry Potter” film series, suffered a broken neck, and also broke 15 ribs, a leg, suffered a punctured lung and fractured his breastbones.

His wife Laura took to Facebook to reveal the news and share a photo of Tavaré, who was severely bruised and lying in a hospital bed, all while giving a thumbs-up.

“This is Laura here. Now that his family have been informed, Jim has asked me to let you all know that he was involved in a serious car accident yesterday, a head on collision,” she wrote. “He’s currently in ICU intensive care. He has 15 broken ribs, fractures in both breastbones, a punctured lung, multiple breaks in his right leg and a broken neck."

She also noted that Tavaré was getting ready for surgery.

“He’s had 2 blood transfusions so far and is about to go in for his first surgery,” she added. “This is for real, not a movie role. Please hold some good thoughts for him as he fights his way out of this.”

Tavaré lives in Los Angeles, but his wife did not reveal where the accident took place.
