FNM Exclusive: Sarah Rafferty Reveals What the Future REALLY Holds for Season 6 of 'Suits'

As die-hard fans of "Suits" are already painfully aware, the last season of the show ended on a major cliffhanger.

At the end of season five, Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams) turned himself into prison for praciticing law without a degree, thereby putting the future of his entire law firm in jeopardy.

"Season six is going to be really exciting, because when we left season five, Mike was going to jail and [the law firm] Pearson Specter Litt was pretty much decimated," says Sarah Rafferty, who portrays Donna Paulsen on the hit USA series. "So when we come back — which will just be a few minutes later — we've got Mike in prison and we've got the rest of the team left to try to get Mike out … and try to pick up the pieces of the firm."

So how does Sarah expect the remaining "suits" at Pearson Specter Litt to pick up all those shattered pieces? Well, that's for us viewers to find out — and for the show's talented writers to figure out.

"First and foremost, we have writers who are so deeply invested in these characters," Rafferty tells FNM. "The characters are incredible diverse and deeply drawn, but yet they all work together and they all love each other like a family," she adds.

"So yeah … I think the writing is really special. It's not your usual procedural."
