Eva Longoria Among Celebrities Who Mingled With His Holiness The Dalai Lama
It’s rare to get to be in the presence of his Holiness the Dalai Lama and even more so to meet him and talk with him.
Eva Longoria was one of the handful of celebrities who attended a question and answer panel with the Dalai Lama, who came to the United States for a meeting with President Barack Obama last week.
On Wednesday, the Lourdes Foundation hosted an event at the California Science Center that also included Sharon Stone, Larry King, Rosario Dawson, Lupita Nyong’o, Amber Heard, Naomi Watts, Jeremy Renner, Jim Carrey, Nikki Reed, Joshua Jackson, Malin Akerman, Christina Hendricks, Sandra Oh, Amber Valleta, Joanna Krupa and Lisa Vanderpump.
“There's nothing more contagious than the @DalaiLama's laugh! What an honor to be with His Holiness today!” Longoria tweeted about the event.
She followed by saying: “I'm still reflecting on the words of the @DalaiLamatoday...the world needs more #Compassion.”
According to reports, Ann Curry conducted the interview with the Dalai Lama and Eric Bennet sang “What the World Needs Now Is Love.”
The purpose of the discussion was to spread the message of compassion, non-violence and dialogue to help achieve peace.
