With a photo flashing a red "Thank You!" written in the palm of his unharmed hand, Enrique Iglesias thanked his fans on Instagram for their support while he recovers from his recent finger-slicing accident.

"Wanted to do something special to thank all you guys for your love and support this week. Leave your questions on this post!" wrote the Spanish heartthrob.

Hundreds of followers, mostly women writing in Spanish, immediately flooded the post with good wishes and questions like, "When are you resuming your tour?"

"My hand is getting better little by little," he replied to an admirer in Spanish. "I am going to Mexico at the beginning of July, so see you there!"

The 40-year-old singer sliced his fingers during a concert in Tijuana, Mexico, a week ago. A video from the event showed his hands dripping blood and his white T-shirt stained with blood after the incident with the drone, which was capturing images of the audience.

Iglesias underwent reconstructive surgery on his hand last week. In a statement on the singer’s website, his team said he was recovering following the surgery last week that “lasted longer than expected” because he also had a break that “needed to be corrected.”

“The damage ended up being a bit worse than initially assessed," the statement said, but a full recovery is nevertheless expected.
