Cardi B and Offset — who are expecting their first child together — secretly tied the knot almost a year ago.

On Monday, just hours after TMZ released the couple’s marriage certificate, Cardi confirmed that she married the Migos musician in September. The document, filed in Fulton County, Georgia, lists their wedding date as Sept. 20, 2017.

Offset, 26, publicly proposed to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper, 25, on Oct. 27, 2017 — after they were already married. The couple briefly broke up and reconciled that same month, and Cardi later addressed cheating rumors in her single, “Be Careful.”

Confirming the wedding, Cardi tweeted on Monday: “There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are moments that I want to keep for myself! Getting married was one of those moments! Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn’t want to lose each other.”

She said they just “woke up and decided to get married” one morning in September, tying the knot with only an officiant and Cardi’s cousin there.

Cardi had “no dress no makeup and no ring!” for her actual nuptials, but later said that she wanted to have a lavish red-themed wedding, telling New York Magazine: “Everybody got to be wearing red. And my bridesmaids are gonna be wearing suits, what’s good.”
