Cameron Diaz really wants to be a mom. And she wants to take a break from acting to accomplish that feat.
According to Us Weekly, the “Annie” star is taking a year-long sabbatical to focus on being “a wife and try to have a baby” with husband Benji Madden.
“All she wants is to stay home and enjoy this special time in her life,” a source told the magazine, adding that the actress told her team “she won’t answer the phone for any amount of money – even though she has received offers for various things. She is adamant that she is not available for anything.”
A second source told the magazine that 42-year-old Diaz’s priorities have shifted “100 percent,” adding she is all about living a healthy life with Madden, 36, at her side.
“She wanted to settle down and she has,” the insider added.
The pair, who began dating last summer, tied the knot in early January in an intimate ceremony with friends and family in their Los Angeles home.
“We couldn’t be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest friends and family,” the couple said in a statement at the time.
