According to Amy Pascal, former co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Angelina Jolie wasn't phased by being called a "minimally talented spoiled brat" in an email that went public when Sony was hacked late last year.
"Angie didn't care," Pascal claimed during an interview with journalist Tina Brown at the Women in the World conference in San Francisco on Wednesday (via Recode). "Everybody understood because we all live in this weird thing called Hollywood."

She added, "If we were all actually were nice, it wouldn't work.”
When asked about the leaked emails that claimed Jennifer Lawrence was being paid less than her male "American Hustle" co-stars, Pascal didn't back down. "I've paid [Lawrence] a lot more money since then, I promise you," she said.
"Here's the problem: I run a business. People want to work for less money, I pay them less money. ...Women shouldn't be so grateful. Know what you're worth. Walk away."

This past December, Sony announced that "The Interview" -- which depicts James Franco and Seth Rogen attempting to assassinate North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un -- would not be released after a hack leaked embarrassing executive emails, full-length movies and threatened Americans in theaters with 9/11-like attacks if they went to see it. U.S. officials confirmed that North Korea was behind the cyber attack. They later changed their minds and the film was released in select theaters and online.
That being said, the comedy got some pretty terrible reviews. "You don’t get to choose what you stand up for," Pascal said of the film.
As for the most important thing Pascal learned from Sony's hacked email incident, "Say exactly what you think directly to people all the time."
