Official autopsy results have concluded that Craig Morgan’s son, Jerry Greer, drowned to death.

Toxicology results show the 19-year-old tested positive for marijuana and a small amount of alcohol at the time of his passing, reports the Tennessean.

Greer died on July 10 after a tubing accident on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee. His death was ruled accidental.

The recent high school graduate’s body was recovered the following evening still wearing a life jacket.

“The loss of our son Jerry is the hardest thing we have ever had to endure as a family,” Morgan, 52, wrote on his Facebook after his son’s funeral. “Karen and I are so grateful for all of the wonderful people who have shown us unwavering support during this difficult time.”

Morgan added, “Jerry may be gone from this earth, and we will miss him every day, but his spirit will live on in our hearts. We will find peace knowing that God has a bigger plan, and that one day, we’ll be reunited with him again in heaven.”
