The FBI and the DEA have joined the investigation into a violent break-in at a million-dollar New Hampshire home Saturday night that left a doctor and his wife injured, The New Hampshire Union Leader reported.
Police say Dr. Eduardo Quesada and his wife were attacked in their Bedford home, while a 2-year-old child at the residence was unharmed, MyFoxBoston.com reported earlier.
Quesada, an anesthesiologist affiliated with Elliot Hospital in Manchester, reportedly received the brunt of the attack. He suffered serious wounds to his head, the report said. His wife, Sonia, suffered lesser injuries.
Police had responded to a burglary-in-progress call at about 10 p.m. that night, but John Bryfonski, the Bedford police chief, did not rule out other explanations for the assaults, the report said.
There have been no charges, but authorities plan to speak with Sonia Quesada to determine a description of the attacker.
The paper reported that the multiagency investigation will allow authorities to use more resources.
