It was a slam-dunk for charity Friday night, when Miami Heat Champs Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh hosted their “Heat Wave” party to raise money for at-risk youth in Miami. The party brought in VIP guests to check out paintings in an exhibit titled the “Art of Basketball”.

The show, featuring a collection of paintings presented by the Public Works Department and a select group of renowned graffiti and street artists, was curated by artist Billi Kid. 20 percent of all sales during the exhibit benefitted both Wade’s and Bosh’s respective charities—Wade’s World and Team Tomorrow.

Each piece is inspired by the Heat players themselves and their 2011 NBA Championship. Guests included Dwayne Wade and his girlfriend actress Gabrielle Union, Chris Bosh and his wife Allison Mathis, Miami Heat owner Micky Arinson and wife Madeleine, and a surprise visit by Heat superstar Lebron James.

Additionally, there was an official unveiling of 26, 12-inch by 12-inch floor panels painted by Art Studio Miami students, all up for sale.
