This pony is raring to go.
Two days before its official unveiling, blurry images of the 2015 Ford Mustang have been leaked on an enthusiast website.
A member of the SVTPerformance.com forums has posted several photos of an early copy of the December 9th issue of Autoweek magazine featuring the car in a cover story.
If authentic, the car in the photos looks very much like many of the speculative renderings that have been circulating in recent weeks, and sports a modern take on the signature Mustang fastback design.
The partially obscured accompanying article mentions the new ‘Stang is 200 pounds lighter than the one it replaces, has independent rear suspension and will offer a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine along with a 5.0-liter V8. A 3.7-liter V6 option is also expected.
Ford wasn’t planning to pull the wraps off of the Mustang until December 5th, when it has events scheduled in six cities around the world, and full details of the car will be revealed then.
That is unless another one slips out of the stable.
