As the 14th season of “Dancing With the Stars” takes over prime time, there are a few couples that promise to keep the show competitive and entertaining.

There is, of course, the hot Latino telenovela actor William Levy and his partner Cheryl Burke, who performed a spot on cha cha cha to Pitbull and Chris Brown’s latest tune, “International Love.”

There is also Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver, who owned the dance floor like a football field. He is dancing with Australian professional dancer, Peta Murgatroyd, this season.

Driver showed off his legs and reassured Murgatroyd that he has moves on and off the field.

"They are the skinniest things I've ever seen,” Murgatroyd said about Driver’s legs. “But, he can move!”

Swaying back and forth with intensity and a captivating smile, Driver worked his partner and even got the first standing ovation of the evening.

The judges were happy.

“You are nothing but charisma and charm,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba, a dancer and choreographer. “You gave that cha cha booty. I loved the routine!”

Len Goodman, another judge, agreed with Inaba but told Driver that he needs “more control” for next week’s quick step.

“Don't let me down,” he warned.

Bruno Tonioli complimented Driver for his impact on the dance floor but told the football star to “refine” his moves because he’s "got talent!"

He earned a solid 21 points.

Last season’s champ, Karina Smirnoff, who won the mirror ball trophy with Salvadorian-American Army vet J.R. Martinez, lagged behind in scores and performances.

Her partner this season is musician Gavin Degraw.

"I’ve been wanting to get out from behind the piano," Degraw said.

Smirnoff said she is not ready to let go of her champion status and wants to win again this season. She wants Degraw to share her sentiment.

"I believe in him 100 percent,” Smirnoff said. “Now I need for him to believe in himself."

They danced the foxtrot and earned a score of 20. Not bad for the first dance, but not great if comparing it with actor Jaleel White’s or opera singer Katherine Jenkins' foxtrots. Both received impressive scores of 26 (out of 30) points for the night.

Disney star Roshon Fegan and his partner Chelsie Hightower also made a statement on dance floor Monday evening as Fegan added his hip hop and freestyle moves to his cha cha.
