Did Rosie Perez quit the "The View" early because she was forced to play nice with Kelly Osbourne after her remarks about Latino immigrants?

The Daily Mail ran a story claiming the Latina actress was furious at Osbourne because of her recent remarks and then left the show in a huff because the show’s executives “forced” her to apologize to Osbourne after she let her feelings be known.

During a show earlier this month, Osbourne, 30, asked: “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?”

Perez and the other co-hosts were taken aback initially, but later defended the former reality star at the end of the show. Osbourne apologized for her choice of words.

The Daily Mail claims the executives wanted Perez to do more than an on-air apology.

“ABC executives … gathered in Rosie’s room and demanded that she tweet an apology on her co-star,” the website wrote. “She told them: ‘I’ve already done more than enough apologizing on air,’ before a loud argument took place.”

Perez did tweet an apology on her official account earlier this month, but later told executives she was done with the show and stormed out, according to the Daily Mail.

However, sources close to the show told E! News that the report was “laughably false.”

“Rosie’s days off were scheduled the day before Kelly was a guest on ‘The View,’” the source said. “What she said at the end of the show and what she tweeted to Kelly were entirely genuine. No one made her do anything. And she and Kelly spoke after the show.”

Another source told E! News Perez was asked to tweet the apology because “Kelly was having a complete meltdown” and she felt bad for Osbourne.

The actress even sent out three more tweets after her initial apology.

“I tweeted at #KellyOsbourne in an effort to help keep her from spiraling after her unfortunate comment. I went overboard with my ... apology - #mybad,” she wrote. “But I don't apologize for speaking up and calling her on it—mistake or not, it was offensive. And please don't...ever question my support for mi gente... Ever." #boricua #enoughsaid”

The source also told E! News that Perez’s last day for any live shows was always scheduled to be Aug. 5, adding that she has been pre-taping the segments ahead of time.

Perez, whose contract with the show was not renewed for another season, has not spoken out about the Daily Mail’s report. Her last episode airs Friday.
