It’s been all over the news: Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber had a whirlwind hook-up in Texas.
And while the former couple might have smiles on their faces, it looks like one of Gomez’s closest friends is not happy and reportedly icing her out.
A report surfaced Wednesday claiming American sweetheart and longtime Gomez BFF Taylor Swift was distancing herself from Gomez because she disapproved of her recent meet ups with the troubled Canadian pop star.
However, a friend of Swift told E! News that she has not cut off the “Come and Get It” singer. The friend added that Swift thinks of Gomez like a little sister and “will always be there for her.”
A rep for Swift did not comment on the report and both singers have been quiet on social media.
It looks like Gomez’s parents are also not totally happy with the reunion, according to a report by PEOPLE.
“Selena has chosen Justin over her family in the past,” a source told PEOPLE. “They are disappointed about that… Her father has told her he doesn’t like her spending time with him.”
Gomez, 21 and on-again, off-again boyfriend Bieber, 20, were spotted gallivanting in McAllen, Texas. They reportedly had a PDA-filled breakfast, did some shopping and got down and dirty during a private dance session.
The “Boyfriend” singer also dedicated a song to Gomez in a surprise performance at the South By Southwest festival in Austin.
