Liam Hemsworth and Eiza González seemed to be headed in a steamy direction, but a recent report may have thrown cold water on the budding relationship.
E News! is reporting that the 23-year-old Australian hunk was spotted at the movies with a mystery woman last Wednesday — and it was not González.
According to a source, the “Hunger Games” star saw Alfonso Cuarón’s “Gravity” in 3D at the AMC Phipps Plaza 14 in Atlanta. He was also seen at the bar in the theater with the unidentified woman who had black hair.
Hemsworth is in Atlanta filming “Mockingjay Part 1,” the third installment of the “Hunger Games” franchise alongside Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson.
Prior to jetting off to Georgia, Hemsworth and the Mexican beauty, 23, were seen spending some time together. The pair was seen photographed passionately kissing outside of her Beverly Hills apartment in September and recent had a romantic getaway weekend in New York.
They have not been seen together since and it seems like the relationship may be ending before it even began.
After Hemsworth and González’s weekend getaway in the Big Apple, the Mexican singer-actress posted a cryptic Spanish poem on Instagram.
The poem, translated, starts: “I am like a book. Apparently a boring one. Easy to throw away.”
This message – added to González’s reluctance to open up about Hemsworth – further raises speculation that the two were merely hooking up in the wake of Hemsworth's engagement to Miley Cyrus.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer recently spoke about the split, telling TV host Ellen DeGeneres she is letting “that chapter kind of close and (is) just looking forward to that new one.”
