A black Pontiac Trans Am owned by Burt Reynolds sold for $450K at Julien’s Auctions this week. The car was given to Reynolds as a promotional vehicle for the 1977 comedy “Smokey and the Bandit.”
Reynolds sold various memorabilia of his at the Las Vegas auction, which bought in $2.5 million from Dec. 11-12.
The Trans Am was his highest-selling item of the auction, and had only been expected to sell for $60K-$80K.

"His collection which was full of iconic pieces of career memorabilia and personal items once again proves to be a solid investment with bidders who attended the auction from every corner of the globe this week."
