EL MIRAGE, Ariz. - The Maricopa County Sheriff's Criminal Employment Squad conducted an immigration operation at a landscaping business Monday morning.
MCSO's illegal immigration hotline received a tip stating that at least half of the people working at Nunez Creative Landscaping near Peoria Avenue and El Mirage Road may be in the country illegally - and using stolen identities to secure employment.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio was at the scene during the investigation. He said deputies arrested 17 people suspected of being in the U.S. illegally and 11 were arrested for false identification.
