Las Vegas – With Latino political clout growing, US House candidate Dina Titus, a Democrat, is confronting accusations that she hasn't done enough for Hispanics during her long career in state and federal government.
The former congresswoman told a Latino political group meeting in Las Vegas Wednesday morning that she is reaching out to Hispanic leaders ahead of the November election to stress her pro-immigration platform.
Some 90 percent of likely Latino voters support the DREAM Act and 85.9 percent support providing a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, according to a Fox News Latino poll released Monday.

Titus' meeting with the Hispanics in Politics group comes weeks after her former Latino rival, Ruben Kihuen, dropped out of the Democratic primary.
Kihuen had drawn the support of many Hispanic leaders who accused Titus of taking the Latino vote for granted.
Titus is running in Nevada's 1st Congressional District, which includes a robust Hispanic community.
She previously represented Nevada's 3rd Congressional District, but lost her re-election bid in 2010 to Republican Joe Heck.
