Up to 15 feared trapped as hospital building partially collapses in central India

NEW DELHI – An official says up to 15 people are feared trapped after a hospital building partially collapsed in central India.

Mayor Krishna Gaur says a rescue operation has been launched at the Kasturba Gandhi Hospital in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh state.

Police officer Upendra Jain says four people have been rescued from the debris.

The cause of the collapse Friday was not immediately known.
