State media say Jordanian policeman opened fire on Americans at training center, killing 2.

Jordan's government-owned Al-Rai newspaper says a Jordanian policeman opened fire on American contractors at a police training center, killing two and injuring three.

The daily, quoting unnamed official sources, says the fatal shooting took place Monday on the outskirts of the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The report says security agencies launched an investigation. It says it's not clear whether the shooting was intentional.

Jordanian government officials and the U.S. Embassy in Jordan had no immediate comment.
