Moroccan and Spanish media report that two mountain climbers died in Morocco's High Atlas mountains and one was saved with the help of a team from Spain.

The Moroccan state news agency said the climbers, among a party of nine hiking without a guide, had fallen into a crevice 400 meters (yards) deep near the town of Tarmest in the province of Ouarzazate. They had been missing since Wednesday.

The report said, the climbers were located Saturday and one was already dead, but they were not recovered until the Spanish request to send in a team of experts was accepted.

Spanish daily El Pais reported Sunday the second climber died due to the delays in rescue.
