The murder trial of British businessman Shrien Dewani, who is accused of ordering the killing of his wife while they were on honeymoon in Cape Town in 2010, will start Monday after a lengthy legal process to extradite him from the U.K. to South Africa.

South African prosecutors argue that Dewani conspired with three South African men to kill his wife, Anni. The South African men have been convicted of the crime and are already serving jail terms.

Members of the victim's family have traveled to Cape Town and say they hope the trial will bring them closure after a four-year legal process. Proceedings have focused on whether Dewani is mentally fit to stand trial and if he will receive a fair trial in South Africa.
