SEVILLE, Spain -- A wealthy Spanish duchess described as the world's most title-laden noble has married at age 85, tying the knot with a civil servant 25 years her junior.
A boisterous crowd of hundreds milled around outside Palacio de las Duenas on Wednesday as the twice-widowed Duchess of Alba married Alfonso Diez in the chapel of that 15th-century property in Seville's old quarter.
Known now for her frizzy white hair and squeaky voice, the duchess is among Spain's best-known public figures. To say he full name is full is no exaggeration: It's Maria del Rosario Cayetana Alfonsa Victoria Eugenia Francisca Fitz-James Stuart y de Silva.
Her six children -- all from her first marriage -- reportedly opposed the nuptials. In July, she divvied up juicy chunks of her vast estate to appease them.
