BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Hundreds of rescuers are removing rubble from the remains of an apartment complex whose middle tower collapsed in a huge gas explosion. They pulled a housecat from the wreckage on Thursday, but with 11 residents still missing, they've found no other human victims.
Authorities now say 10 died and more than 60 people were injured as the blast rocked Rosario, Argentina's third-largest city.
Politicians nationwide canceled Thursday's closing campaign rallies ahead of Sunday's primary, but anti-government marches were still planned Thursday night around the country.
Two repairmen are in custody amid a criminal probe of the blast. Residents had complained to the Litoral Gas company that natural gas wasn't reaching their kitchens. A judge is trying to determine who was responsible for the repair job.
