Police in Mongolia say Canadian businessman found dead in upscale hotel in capital

Police in Mongolia say a Canadian businessman has been found dead in his room at an upscale hotel in the capital Ulan Bator.

Jim Doak, 59, was found dead Thursday morning by cleaning staff at the Blue Sky hotel. Canadian media reports identify him as the Toronto-based president of the uranium mining firm Khan Resources.

Police spokesman Yo Lkhagvasuren said Friday that preliminary autopsy results found no indication of foul play, and that full results were expected in four days.

Khan Resources has accused the Mongolian government of expropriating the company's interests in a uranium mine in Mongolia without compensation.
