A South African judge is hearing testimony on the second day of Oscar Pistorius' sentencing hearing before deciding what punishment the athlete will receive for killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius' agent, Peet van Zyl, was testifying Tuesday after being called as a witness by the defense.

Judge Thokozile Masipa will decide on Pistorius' sentence after he was found guilty last month of culpable homicide, or negligent killing, for the shooting death of Steenkamp.

Culpable homicide has no minimum sentence in South Africa, and Pistorius could receive a fine and a suspended jail sentence or as many as 15 years in prison for shooting Steenkamp through a toilet door in his home last year.

Prosecutors will also call witnesses during the hearing, which is expected to last around a week.
