As her makeup washed away, so did their marriage.
A man in the United Arab Emirates reportedly was so enraged after he saw his wife without makeup that he immediately filed for divorce – just days after they tied the knot.
Psychologist Abdul Aziz Asaf said he received a request from the woman to help her overcome her suffering, Gulf News reported.
The newlywed couple was swimming at a beach in Sharjah when the 28-year-old wife’s makeup washed away, revealing artificial eyelashes and cosmetic surgeries she had undergone before the marriage, according to the newspaper.
The husband, 34, reportedly said he could no longer recognize his wife and decided to end the marriage.
“The groom immediately divorced his bride and refused any attempt to reunite them again,” Asaf added, claiming that the woman was going to tell her husband the truth about her appearance, but it was too late.
