Mozambique Airlines says a passenger plane carrying 28 passengers and six crewmembers did not land as scheduled in Angola, and authorities were trying to determine its location.

The airline said in a statement Friday that Flight TM470 took off from Maputo, the Mozambican capital, and was scheduled to land at 2:10 p.m. in Luanda, the Angolan capital.

The statement says the airline is trying to confirm a report that the plane landed in Rundu, in northern Namibia. The area is on the border with Angola.
