Mexican official says owner of raided group home has been released and no charges filed
MEXICO CITY – Mexico's Attorney General's Office says the owner of a group home raided last week amid charges of abuse and other mistreatment of children has been released without charge.
An official says there was not enough evidence to justify charges. He further says that 79-year-old Rosa Verduzco is too old to be put in jail.
But the official also says the investigation is continuing.
The official agreed to reveal the information only if not quoted by name because he wasn't authorized to speak with journalists about the case.
