Superman is here to save the day again.
A man dressed as the iconic comic book character stopped a woman being robbed at an ATM machine in Gloucester, England, the BBC reported Wednesday.
Antonio Cortes, 32, who was wearing the costume as part of a fundraising effort for Give A Smile UK, which raises awareness of disabled children and sends them and their families on vacation, sprang into action during a break at a pub.
Cortes told the BBC that he heard screams and ran outside to see a man trying to mug a woman.
He said he chased the attacker and wrestled him to the ground until police arrived. Authorities then arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with the incident.
Cortes, a trained Thai boxer, said there were a few “laughs and giggles” when police saw his outfit.
But the hero said the woman’s husband later came over and shook his hand and thanked him for job well done.
