Lithuanian authorities say three journalists from Russian state television have been expelled from the Baltic country after trying to enter a forum for Russian opposition leaders.

Police said they were searching Thursday for a fourth member of the crew from the Rossiya 1 channel.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius told reporters that the crew was "acting provocatively" at an event attended by Garry Kasparov and other Russian opposition figures in the southeastern town of Trakai.

Linkevicius said "it was obvious they were here to create events, not report on events," adding they tried to enter the venue without accreditation.

The journalists were ordered to leave the country after the State Security Department declared them a threat to national security.
